Roamer is a web-based self-guided audio walk platform. We provide free and premium walks with GPS-triggered audio playback, interactive maps, and multilingual content for cities in Central and South America and Mexico. Walks are designed to be used on a mobile device while walking in the area.
You may browse free walk content without an account. Creating an account is required to purchase premium walks. When you create an account, you agree to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
Every walk lets you hear a free taste, roughly 20 seconds, at each stop, with no account or payment required. Unlocking the full narration at every stop, the whole walk, and offline listening requires a one-time purchase of the premium walk or a Roamer Pass.
Premium walks are available as a one-time purchase ($4.99 USD per walk) or as a Roamer Pass ($19.99 USD for 30 days of unlimited access). All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
Once purchased, access is granted immediately. We offer a no-questions-asked refund within 24 hours of purchase before any audio has played. After audio has played we still consider refunds case-by-case, particularly when something on our end was broken. The full policy lives at /refund-policy. All content on the Roamer platform, including walk text, audio recordings, images, maps, route data, and software, is owned by or licensed to Roamer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may use walk content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written permission.
Roamer uses your device's GPS to provide location-based audio playback during walks. You must grant location permission in your browser for this feature to work. GPS accuracy varies by device, environment, and conditions.
Important: Roamer is a supplementary guide. GPS signals can be inaccurate, especially in urban areas with tall buildings. Do not rely solely on the app for navigation. Always be aware of your surroundings, follow local traffic laws, and use common sense when walking.
Roamer provides self-guided walks for informational and entertainment purposes. You use the platform and participate in walks entirely at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Roamer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:
You are solely responsible for your personal safety during any walk. Be aware of traffic, uneven terrain, weather conditions, and local hazards at all times.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users or the platform.
You may stop using the platform and delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to access premium content may be revoked. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the platform.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the platform shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law and in a court of competent jurisdiction.
